Hello,
I would appreciate any help about this.. I can't find ONE clear reference...
And here is the context:
A curious detail that might be likened to ****pedimenti*** in painting is that an entry bridge, bringing to mind earlier XX houses, is situated at the rear of the house, at the top of the hill, where a swimming pool had been planned.

it looks like a typo for "pentimenti". The Italian word is also used in English in texts about painting.

It's amazing what you find in wikipedia. Out of curiosity, I typed in "pentimenti" and there it was!
