Swedish term or phrase: losstagningsutrustning
Man skall därför inte bli förvånad om inte brandkåren rycker ut och hjälper till vid vanliga trafikolyckor med personskador. Därför saknar man också (med något undantag) sådan ”losstagningsutrustning” som för oss i västerlandet i princip är en självklar utrustningsdetalj för att rädda personer som sitter fast i fordon; alltså både hand- och hydrauliska verktyg för att kunna skära och klippa i stål och plåt.

Just a suggestion. It's the usual name for equipment to cut people out of cars. Not sure if the Swedish only means this - could include various other equipment too.

Lots of hits for 'cutting gear'. Trying to find a more generic term I came across the ref. for a manufacturer. Looking at that you might go for something like 'rescue and recovery gear/equipment'

Thanks for the help, but I am not entirely convinced this is what I am looking for, so I have posed the question again with my own suggestion of "Jaws of Life".
