"session" is a studying limitation/period.
Read this:
The first round of exams takes place over a three week time frame following the last lecture, and the second round takes place just before the next semester starts. The second round can be used for a retake if you should fail the exam in the first try. A retake after the second round is not possible.

الفصــل الدراســى: الوقت المحدد من قبل الكليـات أو الجامعات للفصول الدراسية . بعض الفترات الدراسة يمكن أن تكون مدتها 15 أسبوع (نصف السنة) أو 10 أسابيع (فترة ثلاثة أشهر) أو ربع سنوى.
A term is a period of 3 months of study it has nothing to do with الفصل but term means :الثلاثي
there is a difference between الفصل ( Term) & الدور ( Session)
I am pretty sure that a "term" means three academic months.
